The American Lung Association’s 2019 “State of the Air” report found several Louisiana cities earned improved rankings for the nation’s most widespread air pollutants. The annual air quality “report card” tracks Americans’ exposure to unhealthful levels of ozone or particle pollution, both of which can be deadly. The 20th annual report found that Houma, Thibodaux, Monroe, and Ruston all experienced zero unhealthy air days and were named to the cleanest cities list for ozone pollution.

Fifty Licensed Mental Health Professionals (LMHPs) across Louisiana have been awarded invitations to receive evidence-based training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). TF-CBT is an evidence-based treatment for children and adolescents impacted by trauma that includes the participation of their parents or caregivers. Research shows that TF-CBT successfully resolves a broad array of emotional and behavioral difficulties associated with single, multiple, and complex trauma experiences.
