Today, on May 28, grassroots volunteers, healthcare providers, community partners, and families will be at the Louisiana State Capitol to share information, engage with lawmakers, and reinforce the support for evidence-based vaccine policies in the state.
This will be the fourth annual Day of Action for Louisiana Families for Vaccines and its partners in public health.
The group will be talking to lawmakers about several issues, but HB 690 is of special concern to the organizations.
House Bill 690 requires the Louisiana Surgeon General to create rules for the administration of vaccines and other medical interventions approved for emergency use.
The group will gather on the Louisiana State Capitol steps at 10:30 a.m CT.
