Senate Bill 14, a Louisiana Legislative Act restricting the ingredients which may be used in food prepared for consumption by children in schools, is currently pending House of Representatives approval. The full House is slated to vote on the Bill June 2nd.
The Act would also require all medical providers to complete at least one hour of continuing education on the topic of nutrition and metabolic health every two years.To view the Bill in its entirety, click here
