More than 1,320 attended the New Cardiovascular Horizons (NCVH) conference at The Roosevelt New Orleans May 30-June 2 for a peripheral vascular disease program to improve cardiovascular care and outcomes in patients across the United States.

The annual conference featured more than 20 live cases from across the world, 180 expert faculty, 525 exhibitors, and more than 300 presentations. Up to 25 continuing education credits were offered.

The Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) is raising awareness and urging residents to avoid areas with blue-green algae, or cyanobacteria, due to the algal bloom observed in Lake Pontchartrain by the National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science (NCCOS) and recent sightings of algal blooms in other waterbodies.

A leader at Citi bringing decades of extensive experience in healthcare finance, Molloy will oversee the organization’s accounting, financial planning and analysis, reimbursement and revenue cycle functions, as well as managed care contracting and treasury.

For the 2023-2024 school year, NOLA Public Schools and Children’s Hospital New Orleans’ ThriveKids Student Wellness Program will partner to bring health services directly to kids in schools to address the mental and physical well-being of children.                                                            

This partnership, which was made possible with support from the City of New Orleans and New Orleans Health Department, will have a significant impact on the mental health challenges and violence that are affecting young people, and their ability to succeed at school.
