St. Tammany Health System welcomed its inaugural class of family medicine resident physicians on July 1 to the newly launched St. Tammany Health System/Ochsner Family Medicine Residency program, a first-in-the-region initiative designed to train the area’s next generation of primary care physicians.
To start, six doctors will complete their family medicine training over the next three years at the 18,000-square-foot, purpose-built St. Tammany Physicians Network North Covington clinic at 17240 Heartbeat Circle near the intersection of U.S. 190 and Louisiana 25. They are:
St. Tammany Quality Network (STQN) presented its Medical Director’s Award for the second quarter of 2024 to Rick Casey, MD, for his leadership in helping to develop the chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) transitions of care program.
Terrebonne General Health System welcomes Rev. Jim Morrison to the Terrebonne General Board of Commissioners. Rev. Jim Morrison earned a Bachelor of Arts from St. Meinrad College in 1983 and a Master of Divinity from Mundelein Seminary in 1987. In 2013, he furthered his education with a degree in Anglican Studies from the University of the South of Theology.
