A new podcast series created by Lakeview Regional Medical Center, a campus of Tulane Medical Center, kicks off with its first episode featuring conversations with three frontline hospital caregivers who will inspire you with stories of their real experiences, and a second episode dedicated to better lung health that will focus on helping people who suffer from asthma or COPD, as well as those who want to quit smoking.

Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in Covington is providing free breast and colorectal cancer screenings on Nov. 4 from 9-11 a.m. and 12-2 p.m. at the Walgreens located at 71041 Highway 21 in Covington.

All screenings are available to those who have not been screened for cancer in the past 12 months. Appointments are required for all screenings. To make an appointment, call (985) 276-6810.
