As a leader at Touro Infir- mary and LERN (Louisiana Emergen- cy Response Network), she expanded access to high-quality neurological care and addressed disparities in out- comes through advocacy and innova- tion. • Medical Role Model Award: Robert T. Maupin Jr., MD, was celebrated for his leadership in maternal-fetal med- icine and his enduring commitment to mentorship and diversity. As asso- ciate dean of diversity & community engagement at LSU School of Medi- cine, he shaped generations of med- ical professionals while advancing maternal health policies and reducing healthcare inequities. A Call to Community The 2025 Celebration of Medicine re- minded all in attendance of what is pos- sible when a community of physicians unites to honor the past, confront the present, and envision a brighter future.
