Cannata's 'King Cakes for a Cause' Benefits MBP TGMC Cancer Center

This Mardi Gras Season, Cannata’s Family Market is hosting its annual “King Cakes for a Cause” to support the local fight against cancer with Mary Bird Perkins TGMC Cancer Center.

Cannata’s will donate 10 percent of all sales of their Gooey Butter Snickerdoodle or their new Gooey Butter S’mores-A-Doodle King Cake to Mary Bird Perkins TGMC Cancer Center. The specialty king cakes can be purchased in the store, online at cannataskingcakes.com using the promo code “MARYBIRD,” or at PJ’s Coffee located at TGMC.

“We are grateful to have Cannata’s Family Markets help us in the fight against cancer,” said Melanie Guilbeaux, Cancer Center Director. “King Cakes are a traditional treat that everyone enjoys and by purchasing one in support of our Cancer Center you can easily get involved in such a great cause.”

All proceeds raised through “King Cakes for a Cause” will stay in the Bayou Region to help provide free cancer screenings, education and other patient care needs such as transportation assistance, nutritional supplements and medication assistance.
