DePaul Receives $100K Grant from Southern Eye Bank Foundation

DePaul Community Health Centers announced it has received a $100,000 grant from the Southern Eye Bank Foundation and the Greater New Orleans Foundation (GNOF).

The Southern Eye Bank Foundation grant will help DePaul expand optometry services by investing in advanced technology to better identify and manage care for patients diagnosed with keratoconus at all stages of the disease.

“This generous grant represents an investment in the health and wellbeing of our community,” said Dr. Michael Griffin, DePaul’s president and CEO. “We believe every individual deserves access to quality health care regardless of their circumstances. This grant will allow us to continue meeting critical health care needs by expanding our in-house keratoconus management through the provision of specialty contact lenses, often the most accessible treatment for patients with this disease.”

As one of the leading Federally Qualified Health Centers in Louisiana, DePaul operates multiple clinic locations throughout metro New Orleans and provides care to thousands of patients annually.
