Lakeview Hospital Hosts 2025 Boo Fest

Lakeview Hospital will host the 2025 Boo Fest on the grounds on Oct. 25 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. (Rain date: Sunday, Oct. 26). This Halloween tradition invites children of all abilities to enjoy a day filled with trick-or-treating, ghoulish games, spooky snacks, arts and crafts, a photo booth, and a costume contest with prizes for “Cutest,” “Scariest,” “Most Original,” and “Best Group.”

Families with children who have disabilities or sensory sensitivities are welcome to arrive for early admission at 9 a.m., ensuring a more relaxed and accessible experience. Admission is just $2 per person, with all proceeds benefiting ACCESS, a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting children with disabilities and their families.

The event’s wheelchair-accessible walking path winds around Lakeview’s duck ponds and green space, where children can collect goodies from trick-or-treat houses and castles.

All proceeds raised from Boo Fest support families of children with disabilities in purchasing adaptive equipment, assistive devices, home/car/van modifications, and other interventions that are not covered by insurance and/or Medicaid. Since its inception in May 2010, ACCESS has provided over $100,000 in financial assistance to these local families in need, including purchases of wheelchairs, adaptive bicycles, augmentative communication devices, and home modifications.
