Newsweek: Tulane Lakeside Hospital Among Best Physical Rehab Centers

The Tulane Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, located at Tulane Lakeside Hospital in Metairie, is on Newsweek’s list of America’s Best Physical Rehab Centers 2021. This is the second consecutive year Tulane Inpatient Rehabilitation has achieved this commendation. The award is presented by Newsweek and Statista Inc., a statistics portal and industry ranking provider.

The America’s Best Physical Rehabilitation Centers 2021 list highlights the nation’s top inpatient rehabilitation facilities (IRFs) based on quality of care, quality of service, quality of follow-up care, and accommodation and amenities. Facilities in the 25 states with the highest number of inpatient rehabilitation facilities – according to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) – were part of this study. The rankings feature the top 230 centers nationwide.

“We are incredibly proud to have Tulane Inpatient Rehabilitation Center once again named as a top physical rehab center in the country. This award validates our patient-focused care model and the quality care provided by our physical rehabilitation team of therapists, nurses, physicians, and support staff,” said Ben Hughes, associate chief operating officer at Tulane Lakeside Hospital. “We are proud to live by our health system’s mission to provide world-class care, as confirmed by this prestigious award.”
