Tulane Lakeside Hospital’s inpatient rehabilitation unit has been recognized as part of Newsweek’s inaugural list of Best Physical Rehabilitation Centers 2020. This award is presented by Newsweek and Statista Inc.
The Best Physical Rehabilitation Centers 2020 ranking lists the best facilities in the 20 states with the greatest number of facilities according to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Newsweek and Statista designed a rigorous methodology that provided a score for every evaluated rehabilitation center. The scores were based on the reputation survey conducted by Newsweek and Statista and the accreditation score based on CMS data.
Based on the results of the study, the Tulane Lakeside team is grateful to be recognized as one of Newsweek’s 2020 list of Best Physical Rehabilitation Centers 2020, said Dr. Robert Lynch, Tulane Health System CEO.
“This is a wonderful recognition for the physicians and staff who work so hard to get their patients back to their previous lives and functionality,” Lynch said. “We’ve seen a greater need in our community for inpatient rehabilitation services in recent months, as many patients recovering from COVID-19 require this specialized care before returning home. We’re pleased they can have peace of mind that the care we provide is among the best.”
