St. Bernard Parish Hospital (SBPH) has named Alanna R. Fast, “Lani” as associate administrator. In the role, Fast will provide oversight and leadership for the hospital and satellite clinic locations serving Chalmette and New Orleans East. She will report to St. Bernard Parish Hospital CEO, Kim Keene.
Fast has 13 years of healthcare experience, and has worked at Ochsner Health System since 2010. Fast is knowledgeable of healthcare services, working alongside physicians spanning 25 specialties including primary care services in addition to hospital services at Ochsner Medical Center- North Shore. She has expertise in practice acquisitions and alignment. Fast started her career in healthcare marketing and business development, which has enabled her to build strong interpersonal relationships with patients, business colleagues, providers, employees, and prospective partners.
Most recently, Fast served as assistant vice president of clinic operations for Ochsner Health System- North Shore supporting Slidell, Pearl River, Chalmette, and Covington, as well as Bay St. Louis and Diamondhead, Miss. In this role, Fast worked closely with local CEOs on Ochsner Health System’s partnership and integration of St. Bernard Parish Hospital and Ochsner Medical Center- Hancock while maintaining oversight of her territory in St. Tammany Parish.
Fast is a Louisiana native raised in the Greater New Orleans area. She attended the Louise S. McGehee School, received her bachelor’s degree from The University of New Orleans and a master’s degree from Southeastern Louisiana University. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, a member of Women’s Healthcare Executives of New Orleans, and a graduate of the East St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership North Shore. She is the recipient of Ochsner Health System’s Quality Project of the Year (team award), 2011; Ochsner North Shore’s Leader of the Quarter, 2016; and The Ochsner Executive Award, Up & Coming Leader of The Year, 2017.
