Ochsner MD Anderson Cancer Center announces it has earned two accreditations and a recognition that reflects its commitment to comprehensive, expert, multidisciplinary cancer care.
Eight Ochsner MD Anderson locations have received accreditation under the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Commission on Cancer (CoC) Accreditation Program. Locations include:
-The Gayle and Tom Benson Cancer Center at Ochsner Medical Center
-Ochsner Baptist - A Campus of Ochsner Medical Center
-Ochsner Medical Center - Kenner
-Ochsner Medical Center - West Bank Campus
-Ochsner Cancer Center - Baton Rouge
-Ochsner Medical Complex - The Grove
-Slidell Regional Cancer Center - A Campus of Ochsner Medical Center
-St. Tammany Cancer Center - A Campus of Ochsner Medical Center
Two locations, the Lieselotte Tansey Breast Cancer Center at Ochsner MD Anderson and Ochsner MD Anderson Cancer Center at St. Tammany Cancer Center – A campus of Ochsner Medical Center, have received accreditation under the American College of Surgeons (ACS) National Accreditation Program for Breast Center (NAPBC).
Accreditation from ACS is issued every three years. Ochsner MD Anderson and St. Tammany Cancer – A campus of Ochsner Medical Center have previously received accreditations.
Additionally, Ochsner MD Anderson’s The Gayle and Tom Benson Cancer Center has been recognized as the first and only listed sarcoma treatment center in Louisiana by the Sarcoma Foundation of America and the Sarcoma Alliance for Research through Collaboration.
