Ochsner Health Announces New CEO for Northshore, Mississippi Gulf Coast Region

Ochsner Health has named Corwin Harper as chief executive officer (CEO), Northshore and Mississippi Gulf Coast Region. Corwin comes to Ochsner Health from Kaiser Permanente in Northern California. He has gained positions of increasing responsibility in healthcare in the Kaiser Permanente system for over 25 years beginning in 1996, including physician practice management, hospital operations, health plan management, and diversity and inclusion. He was CEO of three different markets in Kaiser Permanente for more than 16 years and served as CEO of their Central Valley Region for the past four years. Corwin will begin his leadership role on the Northshore and Gulf Coast effective Oct. 18, 2021.

We look forward to working with Corwin in advancing our relationships with our partner health systems and providing an even wider range of services and specialties for our patients.”

Corwin earned an undergraduate degree from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, as well as a Master of Healthcare Administration degree from Baylor University. Earlier in his career, he worked as a commissioned medical services officer in the United States Army Medical Command.

Ochsner Health Northshore and Mississippi Gulf Coast Region is comprised of two full-service hospitals, four strategic health system partnerships, 525 providers, more than 40 clinics, and 2,500 employees.
