New Orleans Heart Ball to Fund Research Against Heart Disease

The New Orleans Heart Ball is an evening dedicated to sparking awareness and raising funds to fight the nation’s no. 1 and no. 5 killers – cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

Join the AHA on June 15 from 6 p.m.-11 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans for an opportunity to celebrate advances in the fight and celebrate the lives of survivors.

Each year, the Heart Ball is chaired by a prominent local leader. This year’s Heart Ball is co-chaired by Jessica Brandt and Dr. Gerry Cvitanovich. The highlight of this year’s program will be our Open Your Heart Speaker, Jennifer Hale. Jennifer will be sharing her story about her journey with cardiomyopathy and the critical role that research funded by the American heart association played in saving her life.

Cocktails and a silent auction begin at 6 p.m., followed by a dinner at 8 p.m. A live auction, and a live band and dancing conclude the evening.

This year, the Heart Ball will feature a car raffle, provided by the Ray and Jessica Brandt Family Foundation. Tickets are available for purchase in advance for $20 each for the chance to win a new 2019 Camry LE. The winner will be drawn at the event. All proceeds go to the Greater New Orleans American Heart Association, and tickets can be purchased at NewOrleansHeartBall.heart.org.

The 2019 New Orleans Heart Ball is locally sponsored by Chevron, Entergy, Tulane Health System, Lake Lawn Metairie, LSU Health Foundation, Cox, LAMMICO, DIS, United Healthcare, Hancock Whitney, Humana, Home Bank, and Corvel.

Media sponsors include The New Orleans Advocate and WVUE-TV/Fox 8.
