Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in Covington is providing free breast and colorectal cancer screenings on Nov. 4 from 9-11 a.m. and 12-2 p.m. at the Walgreens located at 71041 Highway 21 in Covington.
All screenings are available to those who have not been screened for cancer in the past 12 months. Appointments are required for all screenings. To make an appointment, call (985) 276-6810.
During COVID-19, the Cancer Center has taken steps to ensure the safety of both screening participants and staff. A number of practices are in place to ensure the safety of everyone, such as increased frequency of cleaning and disinfecting practices for high-touch areas and appointments for all screenings to ensure social distancing.
