DePaul Community Health Centers (DCHC) is once again offering free dental screenings and fluoride treatments for children on Give Kids A Smile Day, Saturday, March 7.
The event will take place at DCHC’s Carrollton location (3201 S. Carrollton Ave.) from 8 a.m.-Noon and serve children ages one to 10 years old. In addition to receiving free oral health screenings, children will enjoy face-painting, balloon art, games, music from a DJ, and more. Last year’s event served more than 240 children.
Give Kids A Smile was launched nationally by the American Dental Association in 2003. Since then, more than five million underserved children have received free oral health services. Nationwide, services are provided by approximately 10,000 dentists annually, along with 30,000 other dental team members.
