The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America’s Educating America Tour is stopping in New Orleans on Oct. 24 from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at Loews New Orleans Hotel. Dr. W. Patrick Gahan, adjunct associate professor at LSU’s Pennington Biomedical Research Center’s Institute for Dementia Research, is one of the keynote speakers. His presentation is entitled Preventing and Treating Cognitive Decline – What You Need to Know About Healthy Aging.
The event also includes a 10:45-11:30 a.m. panel discussion—Long-Term Care – What Are the Options?; an 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. working lunch, The Cure for Me – One Family’s Journey Through Early Onset; and segment from 12:45-1:30 p.m., Enhancing Quality of Life with Creative Therapies.
