DePaul Community Health Centers Promotes...

DePaul Community Health Centers (DCHC) is engaging the New Orleans business community regarding breastfeeding policies, areas of support, and possible barriers regarding mothers breastfeeding in the workplace. 

A new federal act, which took effect April 28, 2023, focuses on Providing Urgent Maternal Protection for Nursing Mothers (PUMP Act), which requires most employers to provide both reasonable break time for employees to express milk for a nursing infant and private spaces to express milk.

Women’s Choice Award has once again ranked St. Tammany Health System among the Best Hospitals in America, placing it in the top 10% in 10 distinct specialty areas for 2024, including in the top six percent for patient safety.
