Ochsner Health System, Louisiana’s largest nonprofit, academic, healthcare system, has announced the addition of Dr. Victoria Smith and Kenneth Polite to its Board of Directors.
Becker’s Hospital Review has recognized Dr. David Carmouche, Senior Vice President and President for the Ochsner Health Network, as a 2017 “Physician Leaders of Hospitals and Health Systems to Know.”
Children’s Hospital in New Orleans announced the selection of John R. Nickens IV as the new President and Chief Executive Officer. Nickens, 47, who will assume his role at Children’s on Nov. 1, 2017, will lead a staff of more than 1,900, and manage a $300 million expansion and renovation project.
In observance of Child Passenger Safety Week, which was Sept. 17-23, West Jefferson Medical Center offered free car seat safety checks on Sept. 19.
As a public service, West Jefferson will continue to offer these free safety checks every Wednesday, until further notice. The checks take place at the medical center, 21101 Medical Center Blvd. from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
