Ochsner COO Named To
‘Up & Comers’ List
Beth Walker, Chief Operating
Officer of Ochsner Medi-
cal Center, was recently
named to
Modern Health-
care’s
2013 “Up & Com-
ers” list. Only 12 people
in the country were named
to this list which honors rising
young stars in the healthcaremanagement field.
Walker began her career at Ochsner in 2002 as
an administrative fellow. Over the past 11 years,
she has served in various roles, frommanager of
internal medicine to vice president of operations
for women’s and children’s services

Forty-Six Ochsner Nurses Named to Great 100
Ochsner Health Systemannounced that a record-breaking 46 Ochsner Registered Nurses
were named among the 2013 “Great 100 Nurses of Louisiana.”
The Great 100 Nurses of Louisiana Foundation was founded in 1986 as a way to recog-
nize outstanding nurses and their accomplishments and successes. The honorees are
selected by their peers and patients, based on their achievements in four areas: Clinical/
Community, Administration, Research and Education.
Ochsner’s nursing staff has a history of acknowledgments by the Great 100 Nurses Foun-
dation for their commitment to patient care, including recognition of 152 nurses over the
past five years.
