DCSNO Receives Ascension Living the Mission & Values Award

Daughters of Charity Services of New Orleans (DCSNO) was recently honored with the Ascension Living the Mission & Values Award, which recognizes the entity’s overall dedication and commitment to improving health outcomes for vulnerable populations. Ascension, DCSNO’s parent company, made the presentation during the 2018 Ascension Leadership Convocation held last month in Dallas, Tex.

It was noted that DCSNO, winner of the organizational component award, takes to heart Ascension’s Mission & Values in an exceptional way by managing primary care through 17 facilities serving more than 55,000 patients throughout metro New Orleans, a significant increase from the 7,000 patients served just 10 years ago. Diabetes care management, a partnership with Southeastern Louisiana Legal Services’ Pro Bono Innovation Fund, and a Care Fellowship Program represent a few of the unique ways DCSNO cares holistically for patients.

“We are thrilled that Ascension recognizes the passionate work that our associates perform daily at our health centers and elsewhere in the community. This award inspires us to not only continue our work, but to be more aware of the impact that it makes,” said Michael G. Griffin, president/CEO of DCSNO.
